12.02.2017 - Great day removing invasive snowberry in the snow!! Thanks to these hardy chaps for turning up and working so hard. Brilliant work.

We were working at the headwaters of the River Rase called Churn Water Head springs.

20.01.2017 - Great time to capture some frosty pictures of chalk streams when out surveying! Why not send in your pictures, we'd love to see them. :)

17.11.2016 - Today we've been doing a talk at the Natural History Museum as part of the National Riverfly Conference 2017. Big thank you to volunteer John Boulton for joining us to talk about his volunteer experience. (He's the one on the left!)

We were talking about a project developed by Lincolnshire Environment Agency and piloted by our volunteers to look at aquatic invertebrates. This gives an indication of flow, sedimentation and water quality.

26.10.2016 - Another great LCSP Volunteer Group day looking after Waithe beck near Ashby cum Fenby (with a little litter picking help from 'Bovril' good dog!)

08.10.2016 - Thanks to Duke of Edinburgh students for coming to help look after Laceby beck, great work everyone!

16.09.2016 - We've been down to the Environment Agency in Spalding today to do a bit of identification practice. :)

22-26.08.2016 - A great week of events as part of our Chalk Streams Festival!! Thanks to funding from Heritage Lottery Funding.

Stream dipping, guided walks, theatre, and more!! Thanks for turning up and making it such a fantastic week!

Thanks to our amazing volunteers for helping us to organise and run such a brilliantly varied week of events, you're awesome!

20-21.08.2016 - Another great training weekend with the Riverfly Partnership. 12 new volunteers were trained to survey for aquatic invertebrates to check water quality on our chalk streams.

Another training day will be organised next August, get in touch if you're interested!

21.07.2016 - A great couple of days learning all about our native White-Clawed Crayfish with PBA Ecology up in Settle in Yorkshire.

Unfortunately they're nearly gone from Lincolnshire due to the invasive American Signal Crayfish.

18.07.2016 - Another great day thanks to funding from Natural England, out with East Ravendale Primary school. Get in touch if your school would be interested in 2017!

22-23.06.2016 - Lincolnshire Show!! What a great time we had, thanks to the drainage board for letting us come in their tent again, and of course our friends at the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service for making a fab event!!

18.06.2016 - Thanks to funding from WREN we teamed up with Lincolnshire Co-op and some keen volunteeers to tackle the litter on the River Lud and Canal.

05.06.2016 - A great day at Suttons Estates as part of Open Farm Sunday doing a bit of stream dipping again!! Thanks to our fabulous volunteer Rachel

02.06.2016 - Thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund we put on a fantastic theatre / stream dipping event today at Classroom in the Woods. :)

01.06.2016 - A bit of stream dipping at Hubbards Hills as part of the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival!

28.05.2016 - Proud to be 'Highly Commended' at the Lincolnshire Environment Awards 2016 (thanks to our brilliant volunteer Meg for coming along too!)

23.05.2016 - Visit to Hubbards Hills in Louth to see how the WREN funded restoration work is going.

04.05.2016 - Meeting about the Lincolnshire Show in very appropriate surroundings!! We'll be in the ADA tent with the Environment Agency and the Internal Drainage Board and also in the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service. Not long now.........

29.04.2016 - Had a meeting today with Lincolnshire Co-op to discuss a river clean up day in Louth, interested? get in touch!

26.04.2016 - Quick trip up to the Waithe beck for risk assessment for a schools project with Grasby primary school tomorrow.

We like to get the children out in the fresh air and into the streams, best way of learning!!

Funded by Natural England. :)

20.04.2016 - Work is currently being carried out at Hubbards Hills by Creative Nature - Trees are being cut to allow light into the streams and work will be done to support the banks. This has been funded by WREN.

19.04.2016 - Off out tomorrow with school children from Louth to teach them about our wonderful chalk streams. Thanks to funding from Natural England. :)
