An evening with Nick Barratt

Dr Nick Barratt obtained a PhD in history from Kings College, London before joining the National Archive and Public record office. He worked in television as a specialist archive researcher for a number of programmes including ‘Who do you think you are'. Nick is a presenter, a prolific reviewer and commentator on all aspects of history, notably, family history.

Main Arena attractions run continuously throughout the day. The Countryside Area offers country sports displays and participation, all animal attractions offers 'hands on' experience. The Children's Area; Trade Stands; The Arts and Craft Marquee, Bygone Area and Gun Dog competitions were just a few of the many things to see, do and enjoy!
Lincolnshire Show 2017

The Show has evolved into a one stop event for families, schools and couples looking for a fun, educational and entertaining day celebrating all that's great about Lincolnshire.
The Lincolnshire Show is one of the best county shows offering a huge variety of spectacular entertainment, food, shopping, livestock and equine classes, and a whole host of other things to see and do.
You'll be spoilt for choice with a variety of acts, classes and performances in the Main Ring & Countryside Ring, while over in the Show Gardens & Floral Art section you can browse and admire the beautiful blooms on display. Then its time to shop at some of the 600 trade stand which will be selling everything from tractors and machinery to to Show essentials - sunhat's and ice-cream.
Quilts in the Wolds

Lindsey Patchworkers are holding their 4th patchwork and quilting exhibition, Quilts in the Wolds, at Ludford Village Hall, on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June 2017. The demonstrations have proved very popular with many of our visitors in previous years and there will some new ideas for everyone to see this year. We hope to encourage people new to sewing to see what they can do with a few pieces of fabric and a needle and thread.
We hope people will spend a summers day with us in the Heart of the Wolds.
2 traders will be selling patchwork and quilting supplies. Lindsey Patchworkers will also be selling items made by group members.
There is to be an inspirations tombola and a raffle, the proceeds going to the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance and Louth Women's Refuge.
Entrance £4 including homemade refreshments. 10am – 4pm

Brinkhill Open Gardens
2nd July 2017
The beautiful wolds village of Brinkhill will hold open gardens on Sunday 2nd July 2017 from 2pm until 5.30pm in aid of The British Heart Foundation and St Philips Church. Several Gardens are on show including the vineyard and the wildlife pond. Cream teas available in the lovely garden setting of Tennyson Vale. Plant sale, observation bee hive and raffle to win a hamper.
Tickets £3.50 per adult on the day. Children free.
