Film - 'Attack on Sorpe Dam'

13 April 2024

Saturday April 13th we are doing a different type of meeting.  The International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC)  in Lincoln has produced a film on the Dambusters Raid entitled 'Attack on Sorpe Dam'. This film is an hour in length & tells the story from the point of view of George 'Johnnie' Johnson, the bomb aimer on 617 Squadron Lancaster "T for Tommy". He was the last living survivor of the 617 Squadron air crews that took part in the raid & he narrates the film.  This will be an all ticket event, cost £5 per head, & must be booked in advance. If there is sufficient interest then we will consider putting on a 2nd showing.

2pm Willoughby Village Hall, Church Lane, Willoughby, Alford, LN13 9SU
